Testimonials:

Mellissa James - CEO / Founder of Inclusive Tourism and cangoeverywhere.com.au

'It's a great opportunity for people with disabilities and kids who I've seen coming through to get out there and experience something they probably wouldn't have [thought they] had the opportunity to do'

Bella Busine - Accessible Brisbane

I cannot speak more highly of the staff at iFly who went out of their way to welcome us and answer any questions. Their treatment of both of us was some of the best we have ever received. We both loved it and can’t wait to go back. I was also so impressed by how Briana’s body was after flying – her usual high tone was broken. I normally only see these relaxed results after 1hr+ of swimming. A few minutes of indoor sky diving had her very relaxed!

Adam Sheppard - FSG Australia

'iFLY's Accessibility is absolutely amazing, they're really leading the Gold Coast as far as accessible tourism is concerenced'

Mike Rolls - Professional Speaker and Author

'I'm a double amputee and there was absolutely no hesitation in jumping in there and having a go. I'd suggest you get out there and do it too!' .

Ex- Serviceman

I have never been skydiving before. The challenge of doing something different, and doing an activity that takes me outside my comfort zone with other veterans is so vital to maintaining my mental, physical, and social wellbeing.

Accessibility & Inclusion Statement

iFLY Indoor Skydiving prides itself on offering a facility and experience that is accessible and inclusive for people of all abilities.

Indoor skydiving is one of the most all-inclusive activities in the world, with the state-ofthe-art wind tunnel providing a fully controlled, ultra safe environment giving truly anyone the opportunity to fly.

The nature of the activity means that carers can go through the whole process with someone else and provide assistance if necessary without having to pay any entrance fees. Only if you choose to jump into the air flow itself would you need to pay for your part in the experience.

We have flown wheelchair users, those of low vision, hearing loss, paraplegia or amputees, as well as people living with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and more. There really are no limitations in the sport of indoor skydiving!

Gold Coast Tourism Accessibility Challenge

In March 2017, iFLY Gold Coast took part in the Accessibility Challenge run by Gold Coast Tourism and were declared “accessibly ready!” by FSG Australia.

International Day of People with Disability 2017

3rd December 2017 was International Day of People with Disability and to celebrate we gave away 100 FREE indoor skydiving experiences to people living with a disability. The response to the competition was incredible with almost 1,000 entries in just 4 days.

Wheelchair Users & Mobility Restrictions

We have lift access for wheelchair users, as well as restrooms and entrances that are designed to be wheelchair and pram accessible. Many people with mobility restrictions feel a sense of freedom and weightlessness when indoor skydiving with only small body movements required to move around the wind tunnel.

Low Vision

Typically the sport of indoor skydiving uses visual cues, however, that is no limitation for someone with low vision. Our instructors are trained with physical communication skills and we have found that low vision flyers often have a greater sense of body awareness, which is crucial for staying balanced in the wind.

Hearing Loss/Partially Deaf

Due to the noise of the wind tunnel, indoor skydiving uses visual cues, which work perfectly for those living with hearing loss or who are partially deaf.

Psychological Disorder

Those living with a psychological disorder such as low sensory input, often feel at home in the wind as it provides them with constant sensory input all over the body. The instructor is always in the wind with the flyer for constant comfort and reassurance.

Service Animals

Service animals are also welcome at all of our locations in the spirit of inclusiveness. Unfortunately, they aren't permitted to FLY, but the 360-degree glass tunnel means they can watch the entire experience.

iFLY assisting ex-servicemen

We recently teamed up with Soldier On an Australian charity organisation whose mission is to assist ex-servicemen/servicewomen and their families reintegrate into civilian life while coping with PTSD
